Panto Season

Christmas is always Panto season for us. This year we had three productions to supply and operate at. First it was STEPPS in Darlington who put on ‘The Snow Queen’ – Performed in Bondgate Hall Theatre. It was the first year supplying and operating the full technical system for them. We installed a full Stage Lighting rig, with flown Moving Head fixtures and LED units. Radio microphones were also supplied and we ran the system for them for the run of the production. STEPPS are a real family run theatre group who put on great shows every year!

The second was Sedgefield Players who put on their version of Beauty and the Beast. Always a great performance from the cast, with a great stage crew to go along with them. For that we provided Sound, including radio mic systems and playback. Lighting and effects consisted of full stage lighting, smoke machines and pyro.

The third was at STARS in Darlington, who put on their performance of Cinderella at St Augustine’s Parish Centre. A great team to work with there who we have been involved with for many years. This year the show had grown in size and what we supplied had to match. With a small orchestra/band in the pit, we had plenty of work in sound to do, including using radio microphones with the cast for the first time. Lighting was full stage lighting, with moving head fixtures used for the ‘transformation scene’. All that combined with a moving carriage and pyro, it was a great show!
